Two Phillips Ambassadors Tapped Into Order of the Golden Fleece, UNC's Oldest and Highest Honorary Society
Phillips Ambassadors Eliza Filene (China ‘15) and Malik Jabati (Singapore ‘17) were tapped into the Order of the Golden Fleece on March 23, 2018. They are now members of the University’s oldest and highest honorary society, founded in 1904. The Order of the Golden Fleece selects its members based on service to the University as reflected in scholarship, motivation, creativity, loyalty, and leadership in academic and extracurricular pursuits.
Eliza is majoring in public policy and minoring in chemistry and entrepreneurship. She studied abroad as a Phillips Ambassador in Shanghai in 2015. She is from Carrboro and will graduate in May. Malik is majoring in economics and computer science and minoring in philosophy, politics and economics (PPE). He studied abroad as a Phillips Ambassador in Singapore in 2017. He is from Alexandria, Virginia.
